b!tch-bo$$ tried to mess with my head today--i rock up to work as usual in business gear (in 30 C heat) only to find out that it's 'casual' wednesday...boss failed to notify me because I gave the after-work 'gathering' a miss...whatevs. If wearing business gear will get me out of a 3+ hour bore-athon, then hellz yeah, I'll be in business gear.

had a breakthru at the gym today:
arrived late--around 1835, which gives me roughly 30' to work out. No idea how time slips away from me like that. Anyhoo, didn't even want to run, but run i did. Did many small sections at higher speeds to get an overall higher average (new record?):
3.0km in 20'01" and 232 KCALs
18 x 50

Add to that I was serverely dehydrated throughout the run and developed sneezing fits during the day!

I'm pretty sure that circa 2004, I used to be able to get 3.2km in 20'00" on a regular basis...Seems like a dream or faint memory that I could've been capable of that. Same goes for curling.

⇒ Opera

for a while (18-24 months) I used Opera exclusively...then Firefox upgraded its tab-switching abilities and I discovered the Cmd + 1, 2, 3... quick-switch shortcut and never looked back. Not that Opera's a bad browser, mind you (its really awesome!) but without the ability to quickly switch between tabs, well there's no going back, just yet...Anyhoo, here are a few shortcuts to speed up the Opera experience:
Keyboard shortcuts
list of features
Mouse gestures. Good idea, but they haven't really caught on with me yet.

⇒ breaking point

low energy today. no running; let the shins heal/rest. As a result I didn't feel too tired after the workout. Did a pathetic 4' on rowing machine. wtf?!?

55x17, 50x18 = 1835.

tried curling again today. 2 things:
1. REALLY softened up i that department. Having a lot of difficulty lifting literally half the weights i used to (then: 22.5kg, now: 10kg)
2. my wrist is STILL stuffed up.

⇒ that year...

circa christmas/new year 2004, i was working 2 summer jobs, postal and sales clerkin'.
One day i had the massive double up. It went something like this:

0630 wake up, breakfast, wash up
0730 drive to work (sales)
0800 start work
1200 lunch
1230 back to work
1700 tea break?
2030 finish work (sales). Speed directly to work (postal). Dinner en route
2100 start work
2330 break
0200 finish work (postal)
0230 home, sleep
0630 wake up, breakfast, wash up
0730 drive to work (sales)
0800 start work
1200 lunch
1230 back to work
1700 finish
2100 start night shift again...

then there was that other time (circa christmas 2002) where I worked 6-7 days in a row--something like 50 hours casual over 2 jobs (postal and stadium). But that was when i was just a lad with nothing to do.

job #16, people!
