⇒ i am slow
yesterday i set a new record(?)...for the slowest run of the year!
unbelievable! no stamina, so much pain below both knees! Slightly uncomfortable in new shoes (the 'firmness' is taking some getting used to).
anyhoo, still notched up 2.7km in 20' and 201 KCALS.

I cut the gym time short because other ppl were relying on me for dinner (i'm the driver, see). Gym girl is so hot that she makes me all stupid and nervous around her.

⇒ aviary starred
Aviary recently launched. It was pretty amazing in beta, so check it out.
42 new phoenix tutorials | Power of small teams | Health-inducing habit...which isn't offered in Australia.... =(
Just a side note in regards to my 'obsessive' running. I was never athletic in high school. Or primary school. Or now. But I have certainly gotten much more active as a response to my lifestyle and dietary habits (sitting at a computer all day, eating deep-fried food). I see being able to run a marathon as a measure of willpower. For a guy who could barely scrape a 200m finish, the ultimate measure of willpower. I've never thought of it as being unobtainable, but certainly difficult. It requires strict mental discipline and a physical commitment to exercise unheard of in my personal life. Admittedly, I originally obsessed about gymming for vanity but that has since transmuted into genuine pursuit of strength and stamina--enough to complete a marathon at least.

another little sidenote: updated the stylesheet. It's slightly less f#cked up looking.

finally recovering from illness! BUT!
Health still not 100%, so running wasn't great...I haven't run in 8 days! I think my 'fitness' starts to decline after having not run/exercised for 2 or 3 days!
Thanks to a pep talk from my friend, I decided 'hardcore' wasn't good enough and need to start pushing my limits, especially since I've now missed 3 weeks (in total) of my gym membership due to illness (damn you, Sydney weather!)
Planned to try for a sub-35' 5km...run not quite as planned. My sinuses still clogged and choked up wit phlegm...so my breathing was all problematic. Add to that, big lunch so I was all bloated and crampy. Add to that, I felt dehydrated in spite of having had about 2.5L of water during the day. Still, going by old standards, did ok...
2.8KM in 20', 210 KCALs
bench: 9x60, 4x60, 8x60, 12x40.

Will try again today. Still partially ill, but I'll push my limits. I mean really push them, not cheat myself! Might breakout my new runners too, the old ones are getting torn up, plus the motivation of running in new sneaks might help!
