⇒ one door closes...another opens...

i feel like i might be starting to re-connect with the world...it's a good thing.

today i enrolled at usyd, then caught up with Tony. Gymmed today, did 5km in 42'45", total of 838kg vert shoulder press, 640kg vert chest fly and 450+ kg vert chest press. I also incline benched pressed on rails but lost count of the total. Did crunches, and situps with medicine ball. And 'swimming' of course. I tried to push myself today and the results do show it but consider this: I only got three hours of sleep (6am to 9am) and I've been gymming 4 times this week. Total of over 1200 Cals (KCals?) consumed, 18km and 150' on the treaddy. I'm going hard the next set of days i go (my membership is expiring already!)

⇒ cousin Long

cousin Long came to visit. Spent all day reconnecting with the family. All had a good laugh at the stories and pics from his and Linh's Vietnam sojourn. I took a quick break from it to go gymmin and swimmin. Today, my right calf didn't feel good. I thought I could push through the pain but it progressively bothered me more, so following Andre Agassi's advice, I cut the duration not the intensity. Did 2.41km in 20'00" (onto 3.0km in 26'ish). Totalled 180-ish Cals so that's roughly the same intensity i give my 5km runs. Also did inclined bench press today. Not too bad, managed a couple of sets of 20 and 30 kgs totalling about 1000kgs (i lost count). I'll try 40 and 50kgs next time.

⇒ hawt todae

Linh's back in oz. I thought there would be alot of shouting and fighting but I guess as soon as you see each other after a long time away from each other, it's all water under the bridge. However, knowing my family, it's only a matter or time (read: days) before the water becomes a flash flood tsunami and breaks the dam of friendship.

gymmed! swimmed! came so close to the sub 40' barrier. Pushed myself pretty hard today...the equivalent of a mental bitch slap. Turned out a 5km in 40'07". I was on track for a 38'-ish 5km run but was a little short of breath. See, I not declining in performance, I improve! Over 330 Cals consumed.

Did vert chest press--total about 400kgs. Not a good day for chest press, in terms of reps or weight. Did vert fly, total about 600kgs, not bad. Not as many reps as other days but a heavier weight setting used. Did vert shoulder press. Pretty good. I think it was a couple of reps of 90lbs, and more reps of less weight. I plan to gym tomorrow.

⇒ spring cleaning for Tet

spring/Tet cleaning for the house. my bro cleaned, i swept--more or less. He tidied up what-not (except for my stuff, don't touch my stuff!) and i vacuumed. good arrangement. It takes care of his allergies/ass-ma and I prefer vacuuming to other methods of cleaning any day.

Weather has eased up considerably. I went gymmin and swimmin. I tried to push myself to much again and ended up short. did the 5km in 42'30" and about 300 Cals. Not too shabby but not my best. I might try my 20' limit tomoz. At the start of the run it really didn't feel good but 10' into it i felt a helluva lot better. It might have something to do with my lunch (hash brown and bacon sandwich).

Did vert chest press, vert chest fly, stretched and what-not. didn't do should press though. I felt pretty good in the pool today. Not efficient yet but better than most days.

⇒ zombie mode

i dunno. just one of them daze. I couldn't get out of bed. I'm not ill (physically anyway). The weather kinda sucked, it rained really hard and for a really long time--i don't know how this is gonna impact my gym training. So yeah, while i actually managed to complete some tasks during the day, overall, I just couldn't get going after that. Floppin around in bed all day. I felt like a zombie. If I had to diagnose, I'd say obsessive-compulsive disor., clinical depression or bipolar (both poles being low energy). No video games, no music, no movies, no tv, nothin. I did nothin all day yet at times i was semi-conscious. Although I must be coming around...I'm writing this right?

I still can't find my Royal bag/cloth-thingy. Gddamnit! where is it?!? Of all things to be misplaced...Maybe this is causing my spiritual imbalance? I'll try to counter it with some gym and swim, maybe golf (finances are real tight right now).


see, it rained. I no lie.
