⇒ no truer words spoken:

Step seven: find the love

Ask yourself: do I want to work here? You’d be surprised how clearly job indifference shows. A lack of interest begets a lack of action and initiative. A lack of action and initiative means that your colleagues are less inclined to count on you, and worse, will do your tasks themselves rather than enlisting your help. This puts unnecessary pressure on them and maximizes the chance for error.

Furthermore, if you’re uninterested, all you’re doing is showing your employer that your job isn’t important to you—and certainly not critical to the company. If you’ve been allowing someone else to carry your load, it’s time to take it back and do your job. Find the love and let it show.

all right, enough! this is eating away at me and pissing me off! you wanna know something about your 'employee of the year'? the reasons he stays back are because he's consistently late AND because he's working on non-company projects during company time, hence he takes longer to do things. There I said it. Eat shit and die, dumb m#thaf#ckas.

⇒ collected thoughts on a busy weekend

professionally, i need to aim higher. Am I a job-snob? Possibly, but only because I didn't suffer thru 20 years of education to work with know-nothing assholes like this...then get sidelined and overruled by a jackass. I'm better than you. I'm way more valuable, you just don't know it yet, and I'll show you!

i don't know if it's love or an infatuation but i do know that if i talk to you, i'll blurt out 'i love you i love you i love you i love you i love you i love you i love you i love you i love you i love you i love you i love you i love you i love you i love you i love you i love you i love you i love you...'
i can't help it...you're the one i think i want.
be still, my heart...

and so i go to the dark place

playing 'the game'...kissing ass, taking orders, mingling...basically selling your dignity/soul for just a little headway in a dead-end job...whatevs.

office christmas party: was very amused by those that got a little (read: way too much) wino and went wino...saying some random stuff, making an even bigger jackass of themselves (is that possible?). Anyways, here's what i drank:
1 x Orange Juice
1 x Pure Blonde
1 x Water
1 x Cola
1 x White Wine
1 x Water
1 x Orange Juice
1 x Water

5.0km in 38'15", 360 KCALs. Hit 4.0km in 30' but struggled after that--I got almost no feeling below the knee. Oh well, at least I made 5k today...rarely get time to do that these days.
28 x 40 = 1120

visits since 21st sept '08: 35
#visits per mth: 14 | 12 | 9
3 mth ave: 11.66
ave cost per visit: $5.14

this is growing up--putting aside my childhood dreams and man-ing up to suffer for the family i will one day have.

zig-zagging across sydney in search of 'affordable housing' on a sweltering-hot day

felt like i was on autopilot today...i don't feel anything anymore...not quite sure why i want to run. I know i keep telling myself it's a measure of willpower, blah blah...but why?

4.2 in 31'45", 300+ KCALs

⇒ honest question

In a sentence with an exclamation mark at the end, which part do i yell? The entire sentence, a ramp up to the end, or the word immediately preceding the exclamation mark? No, seriously, I'm not sure!

I should've paid more attention in high school...

⇒ a thought

"If they tell you a guy works hard, he can't play a lick"...i was just thinking...i don't want to be the hard-working-stay-overtime-a$$hole...I wanna be the brilliant if aloof, unusual, rare mind who slacks off occasionally and leaves when the times' up.

btw, still sick...f#ck! all this dry coughing and mucus is pissin' me off!

⇒ all time at once

just imagine these disjointed posts as being experienced all at once for me...if you can.

gave my sister a belated gift--that Cities of Gold DVD set. She absolutely loved it! A genuine reaction to it--she was thrilled with it and almost hysterical.
Suddenly, I realized/remembered that I was supposed to be bitter and jealous of her--I've felt that way all week and it's cast an extreme pallor over each and every day.
I don't know why but at that moment I suddenly felt like 'aww, it's ok, why am I being such an ass?'. This might indicate that in spite of my recent dedication to 'selfishness, before selflessness', I may still have some capacity for redemption and 'good' after all. What is the distinction between 'what is right' and 'what is good', if any?
I started off today really badly, but everything suddenly turned around for me today--I've no idea how or why but things just fell into place today. Maybe it's me-my attitude. Something about me. I need to be stronger and change the way I am, cause that's the way it's meant to be.
I've rebooted my career and I'm only 4 months in the game, I need some patience...I can be better--I will be better. I will bide my time and in the end I will have proven my point: no one is above me. I'm just as good as any and better than the rest. All the pride and 'reputation' mean nothing to me--I'm my own man now.

⇒ a thought

earlier today, while consuming...my mind drifted off and I wondered what it was all about...I mean why do we do the things we do?

Currently, I'm spiritually, physically and mentally unfulfilled. Do we spend the rest of our lives searching for fulfillment? And if we happen to be lucky enough to reach fulfillment early on, what do we do with the rest of our time?

I'm imagining an external view of my life right now, one might see it as a sort of semi-life: I don't really do a whole lot with my free time (nothing meaningful), just little things to get temporary fulfillment, like consuming. I suppose the way to better living is to transition over from doing things which give temporary fulfillment, to doing things which give long term fulfillment.

Haha, I just went away and came back to complete this post and I have no idea what I'm on about.

⇒ no idea

blog about the books i bought today...and how the feeling hasn't changed...still hungry for more yet haven't go the means to continue this erratic behavior.

the nightmare i had a few weeks ago--about the girl.

memoirs about my dad--the baby bottle in kindergarten, my first glasses and that trip to america which never happened.

lost interest from linh's 4550 loan to date: approx. 819!!! (that's given a low interest rate of 6.0% average from ING, which typically offers higher returns, such as 6.45% p.a.--all this over 3 f#ckin' years). If she gives me lip I might just have to snap (her in half). One or the other.
