⇒ warm!
(break: w8d7-->days on break: 63)
the weather is finally resembling summer daze of old. today it was roughly 30 Celsius. Tomorrow it's predicted to hit 38 C. nice.
went to Westfield Bondi Junction today. Still very classy. You get those really hoity-toity joints that are staffed by ppl that know you can't afford their wares. Still the place itself is very pretty. Everything still feels new, the wood still has its original coat of polish, the paint colors are still rich and generally everything (especially the washrooms) are very well maintained. The carpark is a bit of a mess though, it's quite labyrinthine. They should take a queue from Broady and make the flow simpler.
The main thing about Westfield Bondi Junction I really like is that there exists a glossy finish on pretty much every surface (I kid you not). I just makes the environment exude a really classy, sleek sheen. Also, the interior space is
1. well lit. Good combo of bright interior lighting and natural lighting.
2. well ventilated
3. very clean. Adds to the glossy finish
4. well spaced out. Not too far in between stuff and not too jam packed together either.
there isn't really a smell in the air aside from the occasional waft of hair product from the styling joints inside. It would be nice to have a cinnamon or ice-cream cone/waffle-y smell like the type given off by new zealand natural ice-cream (?). BTW, they have two foodcourts and a Baskin 31 Robbins. It's probably the second of only 2 in Sydney (though the first one looks so rundown I wouldn't go there to sh!t).
Also went to gym today. Working off that Double delish. Improved my treadmill time. Did 5.0km in 45'35". Not bad. I can do better though. My personal best is about 3.2km in 20' so that should work out to be 5.0 in under 35'. I'm working on it. Gave my arms a bit of a work out today too. Then went for a swim to cool off. All in all more active than most daze. I'll probably go gymmin/swimmin tomorrow too.
Now for some wiki entries: scenthound | Welsh Corgi | Chinchilla | List of Dog breeds | Basset hound. Possibly my favorite dog breed. I know I have a Pomeranian and he has grown on me but that was not by my choosing. | Daniel Daly | Starship Troopers imdb entry | Klendathu | Basil Poledouris. RIP. He will be sorely missed. Check out Robocop and Conan soundtracks, I consider those to be the finest of his distinct works |
Futuristic sex robotz. These guys did a track called Back to the Future I love it. They're offering it to download free. You can get the rest of the album there too, tho I've yet to check it out.
Come on, you sons of bitches, do you want to live forever?!?/Kerls, wollt ihr denn ewig leben?!?

shoes that play video games | Forbes fictional 15 rich list | levels of demonic possession. you neva know... | atari jaguar reborn as a dental camera | Vista: 20 bad things | 20 good things | congrats to Mitch Page (he was in my 3D class) on having his honours project make an online article or two. Here's one of them. Personally, not for me. | comprehensive look. For me, there is no decision. I'm a MAC user now, and I'll NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER willingly go back to that piece of sh!t. Heck I haven't even switched to Mac OSX Tiger yet, I love Panther too much to upgrade. Feck you, Microsh!t, you're not fooling me again. I'll never let you extract a cent out of me again. In fact, I think Bill Gates owes EVERY Windows user past, present and future (especially those duped into getting Windoze ME) a big apology and a fat reimbursement for all the time we ever lost struggling against his suffocating "software", if you can call it that. I hope Microsh!t implodes in a fiery ball of virulant spammage brought on by one disgruntled Windoze user too many. Viva Apple Mac forever!
And now, another rant. I recently watched V for Vendetta (pretty good, a little anti-climactic and drawn out but entertaining) and came across this in the IMDB boards. I cut-and-paste because I find the advice highly relevant on a personal level (not for me, I'm a dude, but for my sister and lady friends). Seriously, I hope it gets through to someone eventually because it is a good message.

For all you girls who 'fell in love' with V by susan685 (Mon Nov 6 2006 17:11:46
Okay, I realize how terribly easy it is for filmmakers to get teen girls to "fall in love" with just about any character by having him seem tragic and tortured, yet sensitive and shy and vulnerable. Yeah, yeah.
But look at what V is: a man who didn't learn a thing from his time in prison except how to become exactly like the ones who tortured him. His motive of personal revenge supersedes the political one. He kills, steals for a living, and commits terrorist activities that harm civilians and ACTUALLY TORTURES AND TERRIFIES the woman he claims to love, all in the name of his "cause." She is imprisoned, almost starved, humiliated, mentally broken down, half-drowned, made ill and for what?? His twisted attempt at helping her see our spirit is more important than our flesh? It sickens me to hear any man justify abuse of a woman by saying it was for her own good. (And yes, I have some experience in this matter) It is irrelevant that he makes her breakfast, slow dances with her or sacrifices himself at the end. No matter what his lame justifications are, it does not excuse his behavior all through the movie. You'd think a man who had been hurt so much would not choose to inflict it on others.
Wake up, girls! Real love isn't based on doing the wrong things for the supposed "right" reasons. It isn't about cheesy romantic gestures or ignoring a man's character and actions to prove your love is unconditional. It isn't about seeing how much you can keep forgiving a man who hurts you. It is exactly this kind of reasoning on the part of teen girls that keeps them in abusive relationships with thugs. Ask Britney Spears why she fell in love with K-slime.
Just trying to save some of you years of pain!

and now, my two cents:
Lovers should not come between your family and friends. Even if you decide to stubbornly stick it out for whatever reason, your notion of love may just be desperation to stave off loneliness but in the long run this can only end in tears. Why go through it all? To have loved and lost... don't cut it with me, I mean to let this get in the way of family is losing, and we should cherish the little time we have together. We're here today, and tomorrow might be too late. Why should it be that some random coincidence leads to a stranger dividing you and your family? Your closest allies, the ones who will always have your back, take you back and always watch out for you. Come to your senses.
