⇒ prestige-ous

break: w0d6
saw the Prestige last night at the sydney premiere courtesy of 2Day FM. Thanks guys! btw, the blonde chick @ 2Day FM (Bridget?) is hawwwwwwwwt! So anyways, the Prestige is another great movie by Christopher Nolan. He changed the novel a great deal, almost to the extent that he just extracted the characters from the novel and made a new storyline using them. Almost. The movie deviates from the novel in that there is greater tension and quicker pacing in the eventuality and setup of events. Also the moments of desperation and obsession unfolding were amazing. Great performances by everyone (Bale, Caine, Jackman, Johannson and Bowie-yes, that's right, Ziggy Stardust can act!). Bale's accent is scary good.

I never really understood the whole Johansson-mania after Lost in Translation (besmucho overratado, imho), but after seeing her in this, I'm starting to come around.

'cards as weapons' is the name of a book by Ricky Jay (who also appeared in the Prestige). This badass can throw a playing card into solid watermelon. scary.

he has got me interested in scaling tho (scaling is the practice of card throwing). throwingcards.com | ricksmithjr.com | this is something. karate baby |

Picked up Guitar Hero 2 yesterday morning. RAWK! The best game I've played since Resident Evil 4. Bar none. Amazingly fun, inventive and addictive. I will boldly forgo sleep to nail that hammer-down-fret-whammy combo. Controllers make a BIG difference, ay Ninty?

so now i have 3 obessessions (?). Doing that ring-finger-roll in the Prestige, scaling, and rockin out wif Guitar Hero 2. Tho I really should be looking for a job.
