⇒ Federer di'it!

Roger Federer finally gets his French Open, downing Robin Soderling in straight sets to bag his 14th Grand Slam, his first French Open and complete a career Grand Slam.

It's a shame he didn't face Nadal in the tournament. Federer's in Soderling's head--Soderling has all this reverence for Fed yet none for Nadal? What gives? He could've had half a chance if he thought the same way about this match as he did against Nadal. Time's gonna tell on that 4th round.

Here's Federer's Grand Slams:
AO: 2004, 2006, 2007
FO: 2009
WI: 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007
US: 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008

He's also been runner-up 5 times, all to Nadal: French Open 2005-2008, Wimbledon 2008, Aus Open 2009.
I really think 3/4 of his 2008 season was affected by Mono, but regardless he finally got the one slam that eluded him (though not by beating arguably the greatest clay court player in history).

Well let's see how Wimbledon goes. That may be Federer's only French Open. True, he's been to the semis or better since 2005, but he's not getting any younger.
